Memberships applications to be filled out annually, and are subject to approval by the board each calendar year.
Guests are welcome to participate in Club activities up to two logged dives. Continued participation requires membership.
The Club will continue to maintain a post office box.
Expenses incurred by the editor for postage, printing, and supplies related to the newsletter will be reimbursed by the Club.
Public relations will be reimbursed for expenses incurred while recruiting new members [within reason].
Drawings will continue at the regular club meetings [must be of legal age]. No drawing tickets will be sold after the meeting is called to order.
Door prize: All members present eligible to participate.
Booze drawing: $100 [for appropriate return]
Money drawing: $1.00 [split 50/50 with the club]
No smoking is allowed in the meeting area at any time the screen is closed. This includes the general meeting period and during any talk or presentation.
Guest speakers may be paid a $25.00 honorarium for presentations at meetings.
Minimum acceptable conduct and equipment with regards to safety on dives/activites;
1. Basic dive gear, B.C. pressure gauge.
2. Night dive: one cyalume light plus on dive light per diver, or if no cyalume light, then two dive lights. A lighted point of entry/exit to/from water is required.
3. Each dive boat must have a legal dive flag displayed when divers are in water.
4. All divers must stay within required limits of the dive flag. Check the local and state laws in the area you are diving.
5. All divers should dive with a buddy.
6. All penetrations of wrecks, in caves, or caverns, will be done properly with safe lines and lights.
7. Ice diving requirements: completion of an ice dive seminar or specialty, dive in buddy teams [four support personnel at the dive site in addition to the divers, two line tenders, one geared safety diver, and support person].
8. Suggested safety equipment on dive activities: First Aid with oxygen bottles, emergency assistance information. A divemaster or dive/activity organizer may require any other special requirements or gear when deemed necessary for safety.
9. A guest on any club activity will be required to complete a guest information form along with a waiver signed by the dive/activity organizer and the guest.
10. Any member or guest on a club activity under the age of 18 must complete a current year parental consent form to be held on file signed by his/her parent or legal guardian and signed by a dive/activity organizer. On boat dives, divers under the age of 18 are to be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or at the descretion of the individual boat captains.
11. All written club materials and publications shall be used exclusively for club business only, i.e. membership lists, mailing lists, newsletters, etc.
